Gas shows at Pickabooba South-1: Bow

BOW Energy this morning reported it had intersected gas at its Pickabooba South-1 well (87.5% int...

Drilled to 664 metres with a planned total depth of 1150 metres, it is running about 35 metres updip from the Pickabooba-1 well, which previously flowed gas at non-commercial rates.

Several gas shows have also been encountered within the Gatton Sandstone secondary target. There have been no flows of gas to surface and the shows are not considered commercially significant.

Bow now plans to continue drilling towards its primary target, the intra Ripley Road Sandstone, where it will test a four-way closed structural prospect with 35 petajoules (2P) of recoverable gas potential. The target is expected at 850 metres.

Pickabooba South-1 is the first well for Bow since listing in May.
