Yesterday, the Perth-based company said Pesek-1 produced 2.1 million cubic feet of gas and 25 barrels of oil with no water for 8-10 hours at the Lavaca County field.
This was after the well had perforated a second gas zone at 10,550 feet – 850ft less than the target depth.
The flowing tubing pressure was 3,650psi on a 12/64” choke, Amadeus said.
But the cement bond soon broke down and repairs on the well would have to be done once a completion unit was available.
At the nearby Halletsville East Project, the Morton Estate-1 gas wildcat was drilled another 1,883ft to 9,163ft, Amadeus said.
Amadeus has a 25% stake in 50% in Morton Estate-1. Both wells are operated by Trio Consulting of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Meanwhile in Archer County, Texas, the McGlothin-6 oil wildcat at the Sunday Corporation project was a duster and was plugged and abandoned after reaching a target depth of 5,200ft, Amadeus said.
Amadeus has an 85.5% interest in McGlothin-6, operated by TNT Engineering.
The Austin College-36 oil well (Amadeus 60.5%) at the Raccoon Bend Prospect, Texas, also operated by TNT Engineering, is due to be spudded later this month, according to Amadeus.
