Gas from the Patchawarra for Flax-2

INNAMINCKA Petroleum got one million cubic feet per day of gas from its Flax-2 well in the PEL 10...

At 6am today, the well is at 2728m and running in hole to cut Core 3 in the Tirrawarra Sandstone/Merrimelia Formation.

During the weekend, the company drilled into the basal Patchawarra Formation (2702–2710m) and gas flowed at 1Mcfpd and 16 barrels of oil/condensate at a calculated rate of 192 barrels of barrels of oil per day were recovered.

In the Tirrawarra Sandstone (2715–2728.4m), gas flowed at 250,000cfpd and four barrels of very light oil/condensate at a calculated rate of 50bbopd was also recovered, Innamincka said.

The company now plans to cut and cover core three, run in the hole and drill to total depth.
