The well currently has a gas flow rate of 140,000 cubic feet per day after being perforated and fracced, the company announced this morning.
Salomon said Norwest planned to shut the well in for 24 hours to determine a down-hole pressure.
Data from the well would be used to determine the completion program for the remaining four drilled wells in the project.
These have thicker shale sections than the Carden-3A intersection, Salomon said.
But timing of the completions, expected in several weeks, depended on crew and equipment availability, he said.
