The well is currently on production at an initial rate of about 2.45 million cubic feet of gas per day and 142 barrels of oil per day, with a flowing tubing pressure of 4,620 pounds per square inch on a 10/64-inch choke, according to Amadeus.
“It is intended that the production rate will be increased to approximately 3.00 million cubic feet of gas per day in the near future, pending upgrading of the compressor facilities on the sales line,” the company said.
“Unless undue flowing tubing pressure decline is encountered in the interim, the flow rate will be increased to 4-5 million cubic feet per day, once this upgrade is complete.”
Elsewhere in the same project, initial testing of the Wilcox section has started on another oil and gas wildcat, Butschek-1.
The initial test zone, at a depth of 9,020-9,022 feet, was perforated and tested in the 9,000 foot sands, on this 300-400 acre structure. Initial testing has indicated a flow rate of 0.75 million cubic feet of gas per day at 1,390 pounds flowing tubing pressure on a 10/64-inch choke.
“The test interval will be cement squeezed, the top of the zone re-perforated in the interval 8090-9005, and the well re-tested,” Amadeus said.
“It is likely that the well will then be connected to sales for production from the 9,000 foot sands. Development drilling will then be considered elsewhere on the structure, for the 9,000 foot sands, and the 4-5 shallower zones which are also present in the Butschek and Gerdes wells.”
Amadeus has a 25% working interest in these wells. The operator is Trio Consulting & Management LLC of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Meanwhile the spudding of Walton A-16 in the Raccoon Bend prospect, Texas, has been delayed due to prolonged heavy rains. The next well to be spudded in the Raccoon Bend project will depend on the weather conditions in the area. Three locations have been prepared for drilling.
