Cold comfort for Drillsearch in sub-arctic Canadian well

Circumpacific has a 12.5% working interest in both wells, Drillsearch said.

The new well designated 10-9-64-5 W6, was drilled to a total measured depth of 1713 metres (952 metres sub-sea) to test the Cardium Zone. It intersected a 7.5 metre gross gas column at the top of the Main Cardium Sand.

The well has been cased pending completion and the operator intends to tie it in to the region's transportation system and begin production in the second quarter, according to Drillsearch.

In addition, the suspended off setting 10-8-64-5 W6 well has been successfully flow-tested from the Cardium Zone. It will be tied in at the same time.
