“NOPSA officially commenced operation from 1 January 2005 and APPEA – as the peak body representing Australia’s upstream oil and gas industry - welcomes the NOPSA cooperation being exhibited between the various authorities,” Don Sanders, APPEA’s Director for WA and the NT, said yesterday.

“APPEA looks forward to working closely with NOPSA over the coming years, in ensuring that the Australian upstream oil and gas industry achieves the safest and healthiest work environment possible for our workforce” he said.

Similar MoU signing ceremonies have been conducted between NOPSA and the Commonwealth, state and territory designated authorities responsible for health and safety regulation in the oil and gas industry.
