Golden Gate completes third Texas well as gas producer

GOLDEN Gate Petroleum has achieved gas flows of between 200,000 to 300,000 cubic feet per day at its Syd-A3 well in Bethany, Texas.

The well is producing some water, which is impeding the flow of gas, and a pumping unit will be installed.

Syd-A3 will be tied into the Perth-based company’s gas gathering system.

Meanwhile, sales of gas from Syd-1A started yesterday and work connecting Syd-A2 to the production facilities is expected to be completed within a week, according to Golden Gate. Once the well is fully connected, sales from Syd-A2 will begin.
