Truscott has an extensive history in the sector, having commenced his career with the Special Air Services Regiment and subsequently with a number of consulting organisations.
Truscott said his specialty as a 'crisis practitioner' was to assist managers to devise business continuity, reputation and liability strategy when under pressure from external sources such as media or community outrage.
"We do this through improving corporate procedures, interactive management team workshops and conducting what we would call double-jeopardy crisis exercises," said Truscott.
"We also write tactical plans, and conduct training and exercises to protect life, save property and minimise damage to the environment. Most of my associates have professional response agency backgrounds allowing them to bridge the strategic through to the tactical."
While Truscott's base is in Perth, he has set up affiliates in Brisbane, Sydney Singapore, Jakarta and London and is looking closely at establishing a Chinese base of operations.
