"The Hazira project is another major contract for the Clough Group and particularly the Offshore Division," said Clough managing director, Dr Brian Hewitt.
"India's oil and gas expansion plans for the future are very promising and Clough is committed to assist India in its expansion plans."
Clough said work on the project will commence immediately with completion and first production due early 2004. This is the fourth project to be undertaken by Clough in India.
The scope of the contract includes the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the A 6-leg offshore drilling/wellhead platform in 18 metres water depth with an output of 150 million standard cubic feet per day of sales gas. The contract also involves the installation of a 4.5km, 12" subsea pipeline inclusive of tie-ins and some modifications to the onshore gas plant.
