GAS

All power to CBM

Eastern Star Gas' Oak Park coal bed methane project on the outskirts of Melbourne is only weeks away from producing gas with management expecting permanent power to be connected to the project over the next few days.

Managing Director Dennis Morton showed EnergyReview.net over the project earlier this week. He showed the four wellheads ready for installation, and said a small workover rig would ream out the holes in preparation for the production.

He said that they had sourced Davey downhole pumps for the dewatering, which he said had exceptional abilities to change their pumping speeds to suit varying water levels, without external controls or monitoring.

ESG will be bringing four pilot holes onstream on the brown coal Oak Park project.
