BG said Mr Roberts joins BG Group from ChevronTexaco, where he was the adviser to the vice chairman of the board, primarily focused on corporate strategy and the “competitive face” of ChevronTexaco in the market.
Mr Roberts area of responsibilities cover BG's operations in the Eastern Hemisphere, including the core areas of Kazakhstan and India.
BG said Mr Roberts has 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry, covering a wide breadth of activities, notably in the areas of exploration, commercialisation and operations.
