Bass Strait Oil Trust; AMP into Novus Petroleum; JB Were into Energy Developments.

As part of a restructuring and settlement in respect of the BIL Group's financing and equity swap arrangements with the National Australia Bank, BIL International purchased from the bank 20 million ordinary units in the Bass Strait Oil Trust for $52,285,116.

AMP Ltd increased its relevant interest in Novus Petroleum on 25 September 2002, from 16,916,809 ordinary fully paid shares (9.21%) to 18,836,509 ordinary fully paid shares (10.26%).

JBWere Group Holdings and JBWere Limited increased their relevant interest in Energy Developments on 25 September 2002, from 9,290,181 ordinary shares (8.72%) to 11,200,154 ordinary shares (9.74%).
