Shake-up at Austin

AUSTIN Exploration has this morning announced the spudding of its first well of the year in the Pierre Marine Shale, Colorado, a sales process for its newly deemed non-core Texas and Mississippi assets and a new convertible note with New York-based fund Manga Management.

The Birch Eagle Ford Shale project has already been marched out the door, and Austin expects to pocket $1.5 million before costs from the sale, while marketing of lower cost, lower production Mississippi...
