Interest high for GoM acreage

THE upcoming Central Gulf of Mexico lease sale, only the second sale of offshore leases in the Gulf since the Deepwater Horizon disaster in 2010, has attracted high interest from oil and gas players.

The lease sale, which will be held tonight in New Orleans, attracted 593 bids for 454 blocks. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Gulf regional director John Rodi told Platts he was "very very pleased"...
