Rockhopper find enhances Falklands prospects

BRITISH company Rockhopper Exploration's discovery of oil at its offshore well 14/10-2 on the Sea Lion prospect in the Falkland Islands has further improved the chances of BHP Billiton Petroleum's upcoming exploration.

Rockhopper said wireline logs indicate the well has intersected a 150m gross interval of sand and shales with 53m of net pay distributed in multiple pay zones, the thickest of which has net pay of 25m....
