Empire drilling Gingin West-1 probe

EMPIRE Oil & Gas has spudded the Gingin West-1 exploration well in the Perth Basin, targeting recoverable reserves of 32.8 billion cubic feet of gas and 400,000 barrels of condensate.

The well is being drilled by Weatherford Drilling International's Rig 826 to a total depth of up to 4000m. It will test a simple anticline located to the south and updip from the Bootine-1 gas discovery...
