Lakes close to spudding another Wombat well

LAKES Oil expects to start drilling the Wombat-4 tight gas well, the first well to be drilled in the Wombat field, onshore Gippsland Basin, with the benefit of 3D seismic, later this week.

The well, which will be drilled on a site selected from the 2008 Wombat 3D seismic survey, was scheduled to be drilled in September, however Lakes said this was held back as further approvals were required....
