Encouraging gas shows in Indonesia: AWE

Spudded a week and a half ago, Lengo-1 encountered the gas shows between a depth of 755-825m.

Operator PearlOil Satria plans to continue drilling the well ahead to a total depth of 995m, before evaluating the shows.

"While we are very encouraged by the gas shows in our second well in Indonesia, wireline or LWD (logging while drilling) logs are required to properly address them," AWE managing director Bruce Wood said.

The previous well in the program, Lisah-1, was plugged and abandoned last month as a duster.

Participants in the Bulu PSC are: PearlOil Satria (operator - 42.5%), AWE (42.5%), PT Satria Energindo (10%), PT Satria Wijaya Kusuma (5%).
