No oil at primary Jacaranda Ridge-2 target

ADELAIDE Energy has failed to recover hydrocarbons during an initial flow-test of its Jacaranda R...

The company, which listed in June, said it flow-tested the well over the interval 2617.5-2644m in the primary target Top Sawpit Sandstone member but no hydrocarbons were returned to surface.

Following the flow-test, the packer became stuck and Adelaide Energy said it has so far been unable to free it from the hole.

“The situation should be resolved in the next 24 hours and the market will be kept fully updated with progress,” the company said yesterday afternoon.

“If there are no problems below the packer, the well will be deepened to the [secondary target] Intra Sawpit Sandstone interval, which flowed oil on Jacaranda Ridge-1.”
