Dukuh-1 is being drilled in 42m of water and will test sandstone objectives in a four-way dip closure. It is expected to take 44 days to reach a total depth of 3200m.

The well is about 40km south-east of the Indonesian city of Surabaya.

The Sampang PSC joint venture comprises operator Santos which holds a 40.5% stake, Singapore Petroleum (36%), Cue Resources (13.5%) and PT Petrogas Oyong Jatim (10%).
