Santos likely to move into South Asian oil and gas

This morning, Bangladesh’s Daily Star newspaper quoted two Santos executives as saying the company was interested in participating in Bangladesh’s third-round bidding for offshore oil and gas exploration.

In addition, the newspaper cited senior staff geologist Dave Bockett and exploration manager John Chamber as saying that Santos was also willing to take over existing onshore oil fields in the country from other international oil companies wanting to leave their projects.

The Reliance MOU outlines a future cooperation agreement between the two companies to promote and exploit resources in an agreed area of interest, which includes South Asia and South-East Asia.
