Marley-1 is in permit TL/5 in the Barrow sub-basin, about 3.5 kilometres west-southwest of the Campbell Platform.

The well is designed to test equivalents to the Linda Field Biggada Sandstone in a large structural/stratigraphic prospect with the potential to contain recoverable hydrocarbon volumes of greater than 1 Tcf of gas and associated condensate, according to Tap.

“As at 0600 hours this morning, the well had drilled ahead to 738 metres measured depth and will drill ahead to a total depth of 4,132 metres measured depth,” the company said.

“The well is expected to take approximately 40 days to reach total depth.”

The Harriet partners are Apache Corporation (operator) 68.5%, Kufpec 19.3% and Tap Oil 12.2%.
