Santos plugs Indonesian dusters

The original well-bore was sidetracked around a fish left in the hole at 1936m. The well reached a total depth of 2202m with 373m progress from the plug-back depth of 1828m. The rig is expected to be released today.

Interests in the Agung prospect are Santos Group 40.1%*, Total 39.9% and Moeco 20%. Santos may reduce to 30% subject to Total exercising its right to increase by 10.1%.

Another Indonesian well, Orca-1, has also been plugged and abandoned having failed to find significant hydrocarbons. The well reached a total depth of 3805m with 527m progress for the week. The rig is currently disconnecting anchors. It will move to Pangkal-1, an oil exploration well in the Papalang PSC.

Interests in Orca-1 are Unocal 19.55% (operator), Santos Group 65.45%* and Pertamina 15%.
