DoIR spruiks WA to Texas explorers

WA's Department of Industry and Resources (DoIR) will be in Houston this week at the 2005 North A...

DoIR’s Director of Petroleum and Royalties Bill Tinapple will also be marketing WA petroleum opportunities directly to delegates at the Prospect Promotion Forum during NAPE.

“Petroleum royalties make a vital contribution to State revenues and petroleum industry activity significantly contributes to our State’s economy, which is why we are working to ensure this continues by making direct presentations to US and other international petroleum companies,” Tinapple said.

“NAPE is the largest event in the world dedicated to promoting petroleum exploration opportunities, and with more than 8,000 oil and gas company representatives expected to attend, there’s no better place for DoIR to promote our petroleum resources prospectivity.”

Tinapple said this was the fourth consecutive year DoIR had participated in NAPE, with several potential explorers already being attracted to review WA exploration opportunities through the Department’s efforts.

“NAPE offers an invaluable opportunity to meet international explorers and consider current issues and trends with them,” Tinapple said.

“Individual company briefings have been organised and invitations sent to several companies not currently exploring in Western Australia.”

Tinapple said he would also meet existing WA based petroleum explorers to discuss possible expansion of their operations in the State.

NAPE will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Centre, Houston, Texas from 25-27 January.
