According to the Hong Kong-based firm, KE7-3 was drilled by operator Kodeco Energy and reached a TD of 2,250 metres. Subsequent drill stem testing flowed at a rate of over 1,000 barrels of oil and condensate per day. About 10.5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke was also detected.

CNOOC Ltd has a 25% stake in the PSC. The other partners are Kodeco and Indonesia’s Pertamina.
