Located about 30km north of the Blacktip gas discovery in the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf the well was targeting the southern flank of the Polkadot structure.

Preliminary evaluation indicates that the well has intersected three gas zones with a cumulative gross thickness of approximately 50m. Production testing is being planned to establish whether the reservoir is suitable for production.

Woodside’s interest in WA-313-P is 50% with the other participant Eni Australia B.V. also holding 50%.
