Significantly, the success rate of the all wells drilled on the former Santos controlled land is 43%. Between them Victoria Petroleum, Impress Ventures and Roma Petroleum have plans to drill up to 17 wells over the next five years with all three companies set to commence a five well drilling program in mid 2004.

As such the Securities Institute of Australia is holding a Cooper Basin Showcase on the 6th of July with a range of speakers including Victoria Petroleum managing director, John Kopcheff, petroleum exploration consultant to Roma Petroleum, Ron Prefontaine, and Impress Ventures executive chairman, Douglas Jendry.

It will be held in Perth.
