Mud logs have so far indicated oil shows in the Cadna-Owie Formation (Wyandra sandstone member), the Murta sandstone member and the Westbourne Formation. The primary objective in the well is the Birkhead Formation.
The partners have already cased the Talgeberry 8 development well as a future producer after establishing commercial oil reserves in the Murta sandstone.
Interests in the well include Santos (operator) 89%, Drillsearch Energy 10% and CPC Energy 1%.
