Eastern Star starts seismic shoot

Eastern Star Gas has started seismic acquisition on its 100% owned PEL 433 and PEL 434.

Eastern Star starts seismic shoot

The 110 kilometre survey started in the Gilgandra area, approximately 100 kilometres north of Dubbo, and will record data in areas south and west of PEL 238 which contains the Coonarah Gas Field.

The Tooraweenah Seismic Survey aims at delineating structural traps with natural gas and oil potential.

The previously recorded Castlereagh Seismic Survey (118 kilometres) within PELs 433 and 434 identified the structural traps and also numerous anticlines and faulted anticlines which have similar characteristics to the ones found immediately to the north in PEL 238.

Upon completion of the Tooraweenah Seismic Survey, the crew will move into PEL 238 to record the 210 kilometre Dampier Seismic Survey. Data will be recorded in areas close to and surrounding the Coonarah Gas Field.
