Iran: Caspian Sea oil exploration reaching new stages

According to Hamdollah, “The southern waters of the Caspian Sea [are] about 800 metres deep, which was a new experience for the Iranian oil industry.”

Hamdollah believes there should be more cooperation between the nations bordering the Caspian which facilitate oil and gas E&P.

According to the official, “I believe without regional cooperation necessary investments in oil and gas industry would be difficult. The Iranian Oil Ministry [is] ready for any cooperation in oil and gas exploration, development and exploitation.”
