Located in Queensland's Cooper/Eromanga Basin 6.7km south west of Talgeberry 1 and 126km northeast of the Jackson Oil facility the well was designed to address oil reserves in the Wyandra, Murta and Birkhead reservoirs within the Talgeberry field.
The companies intersected good shows between 853 m - 993m with moderate shows between 1071m and 1184m. Following logging and formation pressure testing, the well has been cased ready for production from the Murta zone.
Parties involved in the venture include Santos Group 89%, Drillsearch Energy 10% and CPC Energy 1%.
