The gas from the Shaybah-700 well flowed at a rate of 20 million cubic feet and 650 barrels of condensate per day. Wellhead flow pressure was clocked at 1,135 pounds per square inch on a one-inch choke. The gas comes from the Arab-C reservoir located at a depth of 2,382 metres.

Saudi Aramco plans to continue drilling work at Shaybah-700 to evaluate gas potential at lower depths. The Shaybah oil field is located 800 km east of Riyadh.
