GeoStar Solutions opens Asia Pacific office

A company looking to foster an increased level of American investment into the Australasian E&P s...

Mr Gerry McGann, the local representative partner for GeoStar Solutions ANZ, is managing the new office and providing solution sales and services coverage for the territory.

GeoStar Solutions ANZ's office opening coincided with their debut last month at the PESA Farm-in Seminar and the APPEA Conference in Adelaide. GeoStar, in conjunction with its Alliance partner companies, demonstrated its software and service solutions with a prominent display within the APPEA Exhibit Hall. Six of GeoStar's ten product companies participated in this year's APPEA event including: geoPLUS (integrated geoscience), Interfaces (reservoir management), Kernel Technologies (geophysics), Neuralog, Inc. (data management), Petcom, Inc. (petrophysics), and Petroleum Place, Inc. (oil and gas asset marketing services).

In addition, at another nearby venue, GeoStar Solutions conducted a presentation for one of its alliance partners, Petroleum Place, a platinum sponsor of the PESA Farm-in Seminar. The presentation, made by GeoStar Solutions' Managing Director, Mr. K.C. Oren, highlighted a new concept being offered by GeoStar Solutions on behalf of Petroleum Place in Australia, "AussieOpps", and New Zealand, the "New Zealand Showcase".

The concept behind AussieOpps and New Zealand Showcase is to provide participating companies with a focused sales and marketing campaign to reach the North American independent and major oil and gas companies. Petroleum Place's core businesses - The Oil and Gas Asset Clearinghouse, Petro TradeLinks and Petroleum Place Energy Advisors - are leading providers of marketing and transaction services for oil and gas property assets in the United States and Canada.

The purpose of AussieOpps and the NZ Showcase is to bring US and Canadian investors into Australia and New Zealand as farm-in partners and investors in producing and non-producing assets.
