Partner withdrawals leaves Longreach in driver's seat

The withdrawal of the balance of the partners of the Merlinleigh joint venture from their permits has left the remaining player, Longreach Oil, with 100% of the permits.

The Merlinleigh partners originally comprised Pancontinental Oil and Gas, Empire Oil and Gas, Gulliver Productions and Longreach Oil. The other partners have gradually exited the permits following the disappointment of the Carlston well.
