Juniors dry out

Lakes Oil N.L. (LK) has reported that logs over the Patties Pies South No. 1A well in PEP 156 Onshore Gippsland Basin encountered only minor gas shows and the well has been plugged and abandoned.

Juniors dry out

Patties Pies South was a follow-up well to Patties Pies No. 1 and is being drilled to assess a structure to the south of a bore hole which has been producing gas with water to the surface for some time.

BNP and Golden Gate were also forced to P&A the Jack Frost-1 well. Although electric logs had indicated a potential gross gas pay of around 24 ft, testing achieved a flow of water with only minor gas quantities. Final analysis revealed that the reservoir was water saturated and only residual gas remains.
