Karangi-1 duster slows Harriet

Located in TP/8 east of Varanus Island the well is one of few failures in a program that resulted in the early development of the Hoover and North Pedirka oil fields.

The Karangi-1 well will now be plugged and abandoned upon completing the usual logging program.

The Hoover-2 development well started producing on 7 September and is producing around 3,000bopd, while the North Pedirka-1 well came online on 14 September 2003 around 2,700bopd.

With the completion of these latest production wells, liquids production for the JV is expected to be close to 28,000bopd.

Harriet Joint Venture Participants include Tap Oil 12.2229%, Apache Energy (operator) 68.5% and Kufpec Australia 19.2771%.
