Apache continues its drilling ways

The well will evaluate two historical producing zones in the North Rankin Formation and the Legendre Formation reservoir units within a fault bounded closure.

Apache has estimated that the structure has the potential to contain recoverable reserves of 14 million barrels of oil. If successful the prospect is also located only 12km from the producing Legendre oil field for easy development

Apache has had great success in its 2003 drilling program with the Harriet Joint Venture, having already produced from the Hoover and North Pedirka oilfields.

Partners in Cerberus-1 include AWE Petroleum 10%, Apache Northwest (operator) 50% and Wandoo Petroleum 40%.
