Harriet JV kicks off new program

The partners in the Harriet Joint Venture spudded the first well in their 2003 Carnarvon Basin drilling program, the Ginger-1 exploration well, on Sunday, 20 July.

The well is located in TL/1 within the Harriet Joint Venture (HJV) acreage, 8km east of Varanus Island and is estimated to contain a potential 100 PJ of recoverable gas.

The Ginger-1 well is the first of nine wells in the program, however the partners have already indicated this is likely to be extended.

There are already eight oil fields in production for the JV including Tanami, Simpson, Gibson, South Plato, Victoria, Pedirka, Little Sandy and Double island

The Harriet Joint Venture partners include Tap 12.2229%, Apache Energy (operator) 68.5% and Kufpec Australia 19.2771%.
