ER Mapper 6.3 adds Windows XP support

Exploration software developer ER Mapper has launched a Windows XP version of their core ER Mapper 6.3 and Image Web Server 1.7 products.

The developer said running ER Mapper and Image Web Server on Windows XP will provide users with many benefits, including performance improvements, secure access, greater resource efficiency, and enhanced levels of stability.

Earth Resource Mapping's 100% compatibility with Microsoft's new XP platform gives users the ability to serve, roam and zoom massive images across the web in standard desktop applications such as those in the Microsoft Office suite.

Mike Dunne CTO ER Mapper Products & Plug-ins said, "Support for Windows XP will enable more people to experience the benefits of ECW technology - fast dynamic access to local and/or remote imagery."

ER Mapper is one of the world's leading image handling and integrated mapping software company. Clients in more than 120 countries use ER Mapper to prepare imagery, ECW to compress and use imagery, and the Image Web Server to serve imagery over the Internet.
