Orchard abandons Paloma-1 well

Newly listed Orchard Petroleum has encountered the second dry hole of its US drilling program after finding no indications of hydrocarbons.

Paloma 1-5 was drilled to a total depth of 10,460 feet and electric logs were run with no hydrocarbons being encountered.

After plugging and abandoning the well Orchard will now move to the exploration wells at Ming and Rio Bravo. One of these wells is expected to commence drilling by late September or early October. They will be followed by the high impact Santiago exploration well.
