Worley to build BASF battery material plant

ENGINEERING giant Worley has won a service contract from German chemical company BASF SE to build its European battery material plant in Finland which will supply the fast-growing electric vehicle market.

Worley CEO Chris Ashton described the project as "strategically significant".  Under the agreement Worley will build the plant in Harjavalta to produce precursor battery material for the European market. ...
