AES develops promising US partnership

Advanced Energy Systems has joined the growing list of Australian juniors/minnows finding their feet in the massive US energy market - signing an agreement with the Arizona Public Service (APS).

AES develops promising US partnership

APS is an investor-owned utility in Arizona with over 10 megawatts of installed renewable energy systems. The JV plans to develop two to 10 megawatts of renewable energy projects and technologies for providing electricity service in various markets including Australia, Arizona and other world markets.

AES managing director Stephen Phillips said that, "APS are impressed with the technology developed by AES. Given that each megawatt of renewable systems is about $US7.5 million in project value this partnership is very promising for AES.

"If 10 megawatts can be deployed it has the potential to become a major new revenue stream for AES in the near future."
