International Power - new name for old business

International Power (formerly Australian National Power) is majority owner of Victoria's Hazelwood power station and the Pelican Point power station in South Australia, in addition to four Synergen peaking plants. It employs more than 600 people in Australia.

The company said none of the subsidiary companies had changed their name or legal status.
