The Field Days will be held at Sydney Showground, and EnergyAustralia has said it plans to further enhance the safety show.
The main focuses of the Field Days are to share knowledge and experience in safety.
"Protecting the lives of our staff and the community is one of our top priorities," EnergyAustralia's Eneserve subsidiary general manager John Eisenhuth said.
"Every year we look forward to exchanging knowledge and experiences with other organisations at what we consider to be the most important safety event on the industry's calendar.
"We are working to enhance the activities and seminars in 2003 to grow these field days into the leading electricity safety show in Australia.
"Increasing the interest in workplace safety can only be a positive step, particularly for electricity workers and their families," Eisenhuth said.
The 2003 event program will be updated to include an extended daily demonstration program and a streamed seminar program that will provide a selection of topics that appeal to both field and engineering staff.
Competitions are a popular component of the field days with companies competing for top honours in work-site hazard assessments and first aid.
For the first time in 2003 2nd year apprentices will be given another opportunity for hands on learning, by competing in a new apprentice competition.
