As for the remote power contract, ENE was selected as the preferred company to expand electricity supplies to BHP Billiton's Carrington silver/lead mine in northwest Queensland.
ENE originally built the power generating units in 1997 delivering 20 megawatts to Carrington. However, the plant was converted from diesel to gas and expanded by 4MW in 1999. Under terms of the new agreement, ENE could double the capacity in two 6MW stages.
Currently, ENE is trading at $1.84, down 6c on Friday's trading.
