While the proposed processing plant is located close to the Moomba-Adelaide gas pipeline, capacity restraints have caused Pima to negotiate the annual supply of 15 petajoules from Origin Energy and its partners in the SEAGas pipeline.
Pima is currently negotiating a gas swap deal which will enable the company to off-take Cooper Basin gas from the Moomba-Adelaide pipeline for power generation at the proposed 250 megawatt Port Pirie cogeneration plant.
ANP will toll-treat the gas into electricity for sale to Pima's SAMAG project, which will require about 170 megawatts. The excess will be sold by ANP into the grid.
