This survey found that most respondents don’t believe gas is going anywhere but expect renewable energy penetration in Australia to grow by over 10% to 2030, while many believe coal use will decline, and a significant proportion suggest it should.
While the energy transition is currently somewhat uneven, with European supermajors rushing to recalibrate their portfolios and their US and national oil company counterparts lagging by comparison, there is no question that renewables are no longer being dismissed out of hand, as they once were.
