Senex Energy reported earlier this week that its joint venture with Beach in the Cooper-Eromanga Basin had turned up 6.4m of net oil pay in the Mustang-2 well, also discovering a 12m section of good reservoir quality sand.
In Beach's South Australian Cooper Basin JV with Santos and Origin Energy, Big Lake-105, 109, 110 and 115 were all cased and suspended in their respective pad developments as future Patchawarra and Tirrawarra gas producers.
Tirrawarra-82 was drilling ahead towards those formations, while non-pad gas development continued with Moorari-13 cased and suspended as a Toolachee, Epsilon, Patchawarra and Tirrawarra gas well.
Moorar-14 turned up a similar result bar the Epsilon formation.
Santos and Origin continued their JV work with Beach in South West Queensland, with a two-well campaign turning up a gas producer in Vega-4, spurring the JV to chase the same result in Vega-5.
Over in the EP 126 permit in the Northern Territory, the Cullen-1 well began drilling to investigate the conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon potential of the largely unexplored Keep Inlet sub-basin within the wider Bonaparte Basin.
Finally, in the Otway Basin, Bungaloo-1 is rounding off a two-well campaign, undergoing wireline logging operations to address the potential of shale and tight sandstone in the Lower Sawpit shale.
