Stuart spuds third Cooper-Eromanga well

Brew-1 in PEL 113 was spudded at 6am local time today by the Century Rig 3 and will be drilled to a depth of 2250m.

According to Stuart, the well will test a relatively large gas-condensate stratigraphic trap located against the northern flank of the Dunoon High where reservoir quality is expected to be similar to the nearby Cabernet gas field.

The well will also be deviated through the Patchawarra Formation to penetrate a succession of potential reservoirs close to a reverse fault.

If Brew-1 is successful, Stuart said it would possibly drill a second Subzero well to test the trap up dip of the significant shows reported in the Patchawarra Formation of Subzero-1.

Brew-1 is expected to take about 20 -25 days to complete.

Stuart has a 100% interest in PEL 113.
